Nervonic acid can be used in skin care as a cosmetic medium and effective ingredient. Many studies have proved that liposomes with high content of unsaturated fatty acids (such as Nervonic acid) can enhance the protective effect of cuticle and increase skin moisture content. Because the structure of Nervous acid is similar to that of skin cells, it can enter the intercellular tissue and combine with it, thus strengthening the hydration function of the stratum corneum. Studies have shown that this liposome can increase skin humidity by 40% after being coated on the skin. Another study has conducted multiple tests on the liposome and found that using the liposome twice a week and twice a day can increase skin humidity by 100%.
