Purpose 1

It can be used as neutron absorbing material in atomic reactor and as phosphor and magnetic material additive

Purpose 2

Used as an additive element to yttrium iron garnet and yttrium aluminum garnet. Medical instrument industry used as sensitized fluorescent materials, can be 30 Ma X-ray machine to achieve the same effect as the original 200 Ma X-ray machine. It is used as an additive for optical prisms, and as a metal gadolinium, a material for making magnetic bubbles and a control material for nuclear reactors in the atomic energy industry.
